Based in Rockville, Maryland, Project Rocket partners with organizations in the Washington, DC metro area and beyond. Rob Keeton (they/them) is the face behind Project Rocket Consulting. A Kentucky native, Rob has over two decades of experience in public safety, higher education, and grant consulting. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology from the University of Tennessee with specializations in Criminology and Political Economy. They have also completed professional certificate programs in grant management and nonprofit management. Rob’s passion is to contribute their skills and talents toward promoting greater equity and social justice. Rob is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and has experience working on a variety of projects and with diverse populations. They have worked with clients in multiple industries including education, science & research, public health, and mental health. In addition to grant consulting, Rob has expertise in professional/scholarly research and writing, teaching, professional training, professional ethics, and diversity-related issues. Specialties include:

Rob’s interest in everything space inspired the company name. You will often find them working with their three dogs sitting close by. Rob is also a parent, a baseball fan, a meteorite hunter and collector. They currently serve as Secretary of the Global Meteorite Association.
